We invite you to attend the South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists 2023 Annual Meeting taking place January 28 - 31, 2023 at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. The 2023 Annual Meeting will provide practicing Ob/Gyns and REI Physicians educational opportunities on new scientific applications and technologic advances in the field.

In addition to the educational offerings, there will be numerous opportunities for attendees to connect with colleagues and network during exhibit hall social functions. The exhibit hall will feature the most prominent industry leaders in the field of Ob/Gyn and REI showcasing their best products and services. The SAAOG is excited to return to Asheville for our 84th Annual Meeting in January 2023 and is taking the health and wellbeing of our participants as our top priority. While participating at SAAOG events, the SAAOG will follow suggested federal, state, and local preventive measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, the SAAOG cannot guarantee that participants, attendees, exhibitors, vendors, staff, or others in attendance (“participants”) will not become infected with COVID-19. All participants will be asked to:

  1. Wear masks when and where required
  2. Practice social distancing when and where required
  3. Follow any pathway signage
  4. Follow good personal hygiene practices
  5. Practice self-monitoring & self-reporting
  6. Follow the requirements of the host hotel that are in place at the time of the SAAOG 2022 Annual Meeting

  • Evaluate breast cancer screening guidelines to better educate the shared decision-making process between provider and patient.
  • Review pharmacologic treatment options for adenomyosis in patients with infertility.
  • Discuss how certain biases, beliefs, and attitudes about cultural differences impact the achievement of equitable patient care and physician patient dynamics.
  • Discuss strategies to dismantle bias in achieving diversity in higher education, health care and society.
  • Determine ways to enhance leadership skills within the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Evaluate the management of complex gynecologic conditions.
  • Assess the trends in surgical training and potential impact on the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Review minimally invasive surgical techniques for the management of gynecologic procedures.
  • Identify appropriate staging protocol to provide optimal care to patients with endometrial cancer.
  • Evaluate the management of potentially complicated obstetric events.
  • Recognize ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic may have affected obstetric care as it pertains to recommended influenza and Tdap vaccinations during pregnancy.
